Our last meeting was well attended and the guest speaker, Sheriff Michael Ashe, did a tremendous job informing us of what his organization is doing to make the community safer for all our citizens. We all learned a lot from his presentation. I hope you have a better understanding of what the Sheriff''s Department is all about. Now that winter is approaching, everyone should take care of those little details that make life easier during the winter season. Get your flu shot, winterize your car and have your heating systems checked. Enjoy the holidays that will be coming very soon and I hope everyone has a good time and a safe winter. On behalf of the officers and the board of directors I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday. MEETINGS The Board Meeting was held Nov. 5th at the Children''s Study Home at 91 Old Acre Rd. The Monthly meeting will be held on November 18th at 7 pm at the Church in The Acres. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Allan R. Chwalek, The Director of Public Works for the City of Springfield. THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY
Traditionally we support the Open Pantry on this special holiday. In the past we have donated a substantial amount of food to them. The Open Pantry is in very short supply and as soon as food comes in it is given out. We do not want to fall down this year so we are asking for extra amounts of food for our donation from each member.
The food items most needed are high protein and Thanksgiving traditional foods such as canned sweet potatoes, peas, stuffing mix etc. etc. Please bring not only what you have on your shelf but also bring some things you bought special for them the next time you are in the store.
If you will not be able to attend our next meeting on the 18th of November you mall call Jean Masse at 513 782 0339 and make arrangements to drop them at her house or she will make a pick up at your house.
