APRIL MEETING
   Mayor Michael J. Albano will

be the guest speaker at our 16 Acres Civic Association monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:p.m. at the Church In the Acres on Wilbraham Road.  

    Now is your chance to ask Mayor Albano questions you may have about the city. Some issues may include The Hall of Fame, Civic Center, Baseball, Schools, Soccer Fields, Roads and Parker St. Traffic Problems.

   A donation of a non-perishable food item for the Open Pantry would be appreciated. 

          
CPR SATURDAY
  Springfield College is hosting the American Heart Association's "CPR Saturday" on April 28th at 1:00pm. There is no charge to participate in this event and space is limited.
    If you are interested in learning CPR, the 16 Acres Civic Association is reserving spaces for those of you that want to attend.

         HOLIDAY LIGHTS 
  A meeting will be held at the Sixteen Acres Branch Library on Tuesday, April 10th at 6:00 pm, with Rep. Paul Caron to discuss  holiday lights in Sixteen Acres.
    If you are interested in helping to light up Sixteen Acres, please attend the meeting.

 

            AARP MEETING 
   The Good Time Singers will be the featured guests at the May 3rd meeting at 1:00 pm. Meetings are held at Greenleaf Center behind the 16 Acres Library.   Contact: Clodo Concepcion at 783-4807.

  

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS

        WASTE DISPOSAL
     Household Hazardous Waste Depot at Bondi's Island Landfill has scheduled April 21st, May 19th and June 16th, from 8:00 - Noon for dropping off  your waste for safe disposal. This program is by appointment only. Call 787-7840 to schedule a day.


  
16 ACRES CLEAN-UP DAY
   Clean-up day for the Sixteen Acres Center will be Saturday, May 5th beginning at 9:00 am.  
   
Please try to give us a hand in cleaning up the Center of Sixteen Acres on May 5th. Any amount of time would be appreciated.
   This clean-up is in conjunction with the Earth Day Cleanup to be held April 29th.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE  
    The election of the officers and board members for the 16 Acres Civic Association is coming up soon and we are looking for volunteers to be on the nominat- ing committee.
     We need a few people that will call the members and ask if they want to run for an office or a board seat.
    If you wish to volunteer to help or want to run yourself, please call Jean Masse at 782-0339.
